Crime Prevention Advice – Theft From Motor Vehicles & Interference With Motor Vehicles

We are reminding residents to remain vigilant following recent reports of Theft From Motor Vehicles and Interference With Motor Vehicles in the area, in particular THIRLMERE GARDENS.

Can residents of THIRLMERE GARDENS review their CCTV/Doorbell Cameras for any suspicious activity on 22/01/2026 between the hours of 02:30 and 02:55. Preston SNT are trying to identity the suspect responsible. If you do have information or relevant footage please email PC BAILEY at P251250@MET.POLICE.UK or PRESTON.SNT@MET.POLICE.UK with any footage or information.

In the meantime please help reduce opportunities for offenders by taking the following precautions:

Always lock your vehicle and double‑check that it is secure before leaving it.

Remove all valuables from your vehicle, including bags, coats, tools, loose change, and electronic devices.

Do not leave items on display, even for a short time.

Park in a well‑lit area or use a garage where possible.

Consider using additional security such as steering wheel locks or CCTV/doorbell cameras.

How to Report

Report crimes or suspicious activity online or by calling 101.

Always call 999 if a crime is in progress or there is immediate danger.
